Women-led and operated luxury TWG teahouse opens @ Yorkdale

Do you prefer a cup of aromatic French Earl Grey for your afternoon business tea? Or, perhaps, you are in the mood for playful Golden Monkey Jasmine or Emperor Pu-Erh flavor would strike your fancy?
Last week TWG Tea a Singaporean luxury teahouse brand and a namesake of the finest artisanal tea in the world, finally opened its first location in GTA. Estalished over a decade ago, TWG is recognized globally for its high quality ethically harvested, single-estate full-leaf teas, decadent selection of rare tea blends and sophisticated opulence of its stores.
TWG Tea Yorkdale is a women-led company, opened by the three business partners: Vivian Zheng, Rosaly Wei and Jacqueline Liu. Each of the co-owners is an accomplished professional and a savvy investor in her own right.
Rosaly Wei is the franchisor of TWG Tea in North America, who owns and operates the TWG store in Vancouver since late 2016.

Vivian Zheng of PEO Leadership brings over 25 years of experience as an executive, business owner, entrepreneur, developer and consultant in Commercial Real Estate and Finance. She’s led investment and M&A teams in many regions of the world, from Columbia gold mining to the Silicon Valley medical sector, to the AIM and TMX Venture listings. Vivian is the founder and president of First Land Management since 2003. In addition to TWG Tea project, Vivian has been developing commercial properties and entered residential development since 2014.
Jacqueline Liu (Chinese name: 刘欣) is a famous Chinese actress, the winner of the “Hundred Flowers Awards” in the Best Actress category for her starring role in the movie "Matchmaker", a beautiful musical feature film based on the "The Story of the West Chamber" by Wang Shifu. She is known for her enchanting performances in many cinematic masterpieces, such as “The Golden Lock”, a historical drama story placed at end of the Qing Dynasty, "Into Glory", "The Day I Left Lei Feng", "Distant Marriage" and other movies.

At the much anticipated TWG’s grand opening launch party, some celebrities and well-known Toronto business personalities and investors were seen among the gathering of guests.
Feng Shao (Chinese name: 邵峰), the award winning Chinese actor, whose name graces the top 30 of the Forbes China Celebrity 100 List was seen at the event. Robert Fotheringham, CEO and President of the well-known international private equity and consulting boutique firm, Fotheringham&Fang Group, which broad mandate includes proptech, real estate and fintech, and a Member of the Board of Director of RIFO Holding Group and Hunter Milborne, best known as the “Dean of Condos”, one of North America's leading real estate entrepreneurs, the Founder and CEO of Milborne Group and the Host of the Property Show, and Leon Goren, the prominent Owner, President and CEO of the PEO Leadership, and the Toronto Chair of TIGER 21 exclusive peer membership group of high net worth entrepreneurs, investors and executives, were in attendance.
Guests were welcomed into the elegant yet stylishly chic TWG Tea Boutique which showcases over 1000+ varieties of loose leaf teas, gift sets and accessories.
After checking out the exquisite interior of the store, everyone enjoyed the glitzy after party where exclusive TWG Champaign & Tea and cocktails (made with the finest artisan teas) were flowing and food was a plenty.
The TWG Tea Yorkdale opened its first GTA branch with the distinct style and sophistication which have long become the staples of the brand.
