The Honorable Ed Fast, Canadian Minister of International Trade, and Margaret Fong, Executive Director of HKTDC, sign an agreement to promote increased bilateral commercial activity between Hong Kong and Canada at the Symposium

The largest-ever Hong Kong promotional event in Canada took place on Monday, June 8 in Toronto. More than 1,500 business people from across Canada participated in the  "Think Asia, Think Hong Kong" symposium, which was organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in Toronto.
The even featured a number of prominent business leaders and government officials from Canada and China. ​

The Honourable C.Y. Leung addresses the Think Asia Think Hong Kong audience, speaking about the advantages of trading with Hong Kong.

The Honorable C.Y. Leung, The Chief Executive, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, The Honorable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Vincent Lo, Chairman of HKTDC, John Tory, Mayor of Toronto, and The Honorable Michael Chan Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade, provided welcome remarks at the Symposium and addressed the delegates during the Gala Dinner. 

C.Y. Leung led a delegation of more than 100 high-profile business leaders and government officials, including 27 from the Chinese mainland. 

The pivotal point of the Symposium was the official signing of an agreement to promote increased bilateral commercial activity between Hong Kong and Canada at the opening of the "Think Asia, Think Hong Kong".
